Let’s meet at Gdynia’s birthday celebration in May

May is just around the corner, which means another round of birthday celebrations marking Gdynia’s centennial. Events include concerts from the “100 BPM for Gdynia's 100th anniversary” series, the musical fairy tale “Majka and Kajtek are traveling by 'trajtek'” (Majka z Kajtkiem jadą trajtkiem), an exhibition for lovers of Gdynia’s architecture, an international rhythmic gymnastics tournament, a basketball tournament, a series of lectures by Gdynia’s universities, and a historical-educational lecture “Shadows of War: Encounters on Loss and Memory.” The last days of May will be devoted to the conference “Pomerania Speaks of the Future” on the skills of tomorrow in light of the region’s transformation.

    • An exhibition for enthusiasts of Gdynia’s modernist architecture—distinctive buildings of the pre-war port, including structures and details made on a scale of 1:25.

    • A unique journey through post-war Gdynia, preserved in one-of-a-kind photographs by the husband-and-wife team of Bolesława and Edmund Zdanowski.

  • Gdynia Rhythmic Stars & Baltic Junior CUP
