Let’s meet at the city’s birthday celebrations in April

Another month of celebrations marking Gdynia’s anniversary lies ahead. The end of the quarter kicks off with, among other things: the first of 12 concerts taking place in the city’s districts, and Wanożnicë – the graduation performance by the Gdynia Musical Theatre. The Light of Gdynia exhibition is currently on display at the Gdynia City Museum, whilst Gdynia’s universities are hosting regular lectures to mark the city’s birthday.

The schedule for April is as follows:

  • 31 March, 100 BPM for 100 years of Gdynia. Musical stage for Gdynia’s centenary: Concert by HEDONE, PLOTS

7.00 pm – the first of 12 concerts taking place in various districts of Gdynia from March to December, showcasing the city’s dynamically developing young alternative scene. Free tickets: www.bilety.muzeumgdynia.pl

  • April, Light of Gdynia:
    a unique journey through post-war Gdynia, captured in unique photographs by Bolesława and Edmund Zdanowski.

  • 14–16 April, Wanożnicë, 7.00 pm – a graduation performance about Kashubia to mark the centenary of the city of Gdynia.

  • 25 April, PKO Gdynia Half Marathon 2026 and Polish Half Marathon Championships

8.30 pm – one of the most important running events in Poland! This year’s edition will be particularly special, as it will host the Polish Half Marathon Championships for the first time in Gdynia’s history.
