“Majka z Kajtkiem jadą trajtkiem” (‘Majka and Kajtek are travelling by “trajtek”’) – a musical tale for children
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Gdynia, a unique musical show for children, ‘Majka z Kajtkiem jadą trajtkiem’, is being created. It is a story full of warmth, humour and adventure about friendship, courage and the magic of a city that has been inspiring people to look to the future for a hundred years.
Majka and Kajtek have known each other for a long time – they share a true, strong friendship. When Majka, who is visiting Gdynia, sets off on her way back home, Kajtek decides to accompany her to the station. However, he does not know that their trolleybus will take an unexpected detour. The reason for this is the mysterious Light – an unknown being with extraordinary powers who has no place to go. Wanting to find a home for him, the children embark on a magical journey through the history of Gdynia.
During this extraordinary journey, they meet iconic figures from the city's past, discover the secrets of the surrounding area, including the legend of the historic lighthouse in Oksywie, and learn that courage and kindness can illuminate even the most unexpected adventures. All this is accompanied by original music and dynamic, imaginative stage design.
