Musical Portrait of Gdynia

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Gdynia, join us for a concert entitled ‘Musical Portrait of Gdynia’, which showcases the achievements and the diversity of the artistic community associated with the Zygmunt Noskowski Primary and Secondary Music School in Gdynia. The event will take place on 21 February, at 4 p.m., in the school’s concert hall.

The performers will include students, graduates, teachers and invited guests. The concert will feature, among others, the Secondary Music School Symphony Orchestra in Gdynia conducted by Leszek Gołąb, the Primary Music School Children's Orchestra ‘The Best Orchestra’ conducted by Katarzyna Doliwa -Dobrowolska, the Primary and Secondary Music School choirs, and the Vocal Group conducted by Marta Płocka, as well as chamber ensembles, soloists and teachers from the school. The participation of Maciej Łyszkiewicz, a graduate of the school, together with a group of jazz musicians from Gdynia, has also been confirmed.

The Zygmunt Noskowski Primary and Secondary Music School is the oldest arts education institution in Gdynia (the first music school was established in 1929). For nearly 96 years, it has remained strongly connected to the city, contributing to its cultural life and participating in city and educational events. The concert will be a musical tribute to this tradition, and to Gdynia itself.
